my tattoo finished the "colour" peeling a few days ago and now it basically looks like really dry skin, peeling and flaking a lot of just "white" colourless flakes. they're a lot smaller than the colour flakes looked. its been nine days since i got the tattoo.

is this normal? i don't know anyone who had one that peeled twice :(

My tattoos always peel twice. Everyone heals differently. Keep up your aftercare until the second round of flaking stops. Most people only peel once, but we have some clients who peel twice.

It's normal don't be worrying. People heal differently but mine always peel twice, first the scab and then a layer of skin. I also heal really quickly - my most recent tattoo had finished peeling (twice as usual!!) and was fine within a week. You'll get to know how your body works the more you have done.

It's fine. I'm on day 6 & mine is still flaking. My husband (tattoo artist) says NEVER to use Lubriderm but instead use A&D ointment that's used for diaper rash or even better just plain old chapstick. That's what I'm using on mine & the color is bitchen!! Don't worry about it just make sure to wash it around 3 times a day with mild soap before you put your chapstick or lotion on.

I have 6 tattoos getting number 7 in two weeks. It is normal it takes three weeks for it to completely heal. Keep putting whatever cream was recommended to you by the artist on it.

put moisturizer on it for it to heal. & yes it's suposed to peel twice. ps. don't put ointment cream stuff cause it won't help.

its normal but u need to keep putting lotion on it. If not it will keep peeling and your color will fade and u will have to get it touched up more then u would like
