Which is the best most affordable custom tattoo shop in New York City?

I'm looking for a reputable custom tattoo shop in NYC, preferably in Manhattan, that's affordable. I've checked out a few of the top ranked parlors listed on google but the artists were such jerks and so many of their portfolios were full of this this really old school looking stuff. WTF? Anyway, I want to get my arm sleeved with a 60's retro space themed piece with a pinup alien girl. I know it's going to be expensive but I'm hoping to find a talented young artist who's not too expensive yet. Any recommendations?

they're pretty cool. i got a tatt from Yuriy Fialko. He apprenticed under NYArtman, one of the most famous tattoo artist in NYC. Yuriy just graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).

And his artwork is amazing!

I checked around for prices and his rates are really affordable compared to what most reputable shops were charging.

I had him do a detailed custom steampunk owl for me. I wanted to see what the design looked like before I got it. He was quick getting the design drawn out to show me.

Their studio is very private and is over by Times Square -really convenient to get to.

My boyfriend and I got something done from these guys this past valentines day. We were both VERY happy & surprised with the quality of work & the price. Guy who tattooed us did seem to be a bit of a jerk with his sarcastic comments but besides that everything was excellent . Hope I helped :)
