I have had a tattoo a couple of months ago and had to go back for a touch up a couple of days ago. There were a few areas where some white ink needed to be added. Then 24 hours later, these areas have turned brown!! I am applying the healing cream as always. (Have got 10 tattoos in total) But I have never seen this before. My tattooist just said that I was bleeding pretty badly which may be the change in colour and to go back if it doesn't disappear during healing. This isn't very re assuring and would really appreciate a professional opinion from a very experienced tattooist. Many Thanks.

Don't panic! If it was a couple of days ago, then what you're talking about is the scabbing process. If you scraped or burned yourself, the scab that would form would be an ugly brown/red as usual. Tattoo scabs are no different. You'll be able to see more of your natural scab through light pigments than with the heavier colors.

Don't pick at it. Don't over moisturize it, Let it heal.

And why were you bleeding so much on the touch up? Were you drinking the night before or do you have a blood condition?
