I'm getting a tattoo but I'm interested in how much it might cost.?

I'm going to get Georgia O'Keefe's poppies (she has three paintings of poppies, I'm getting the one with two poppies next to each other), around the size of my palm (I have small hands), on my back, as in one side of my back in the middle ish area. I know that I can't get exact pricing except from the artist, but I'd be interested in knowing a ballpark before I go in for a consultation. I'm planning on going to Blue Lotus in downtown Madison, Wisconsin, if that helps.

Shop around. Don't just settle for the first price you hear. Some tattoo shops are cheaper than others. BUT make sure you look at their portfolio's. Always remember you get what you pay for. Also, make sure it's CLEAN!

Just go into the tattoo parlours and ask. They will be happy to let you know

Before you even go for a tatto, you should consider the tatto parlor you are thinking of. Does it meet health codes. Remember you will have this tattoo for ever. Cost vary so much that no two parlors are alike. You have to consider the colors. Are you having shading and size. I had the mistake of having one done many years ago and it was a mistake on color, only a few colors were available then and also the size and location. Full layout tattoo would run you about $300.00. Good luck.

The artist typically charges by the size, complexity and time it will take to complete. The only way to know would be to bring the art piece in that you want, and get an estimate from the artist directly.

Why not call the shop and get a quote from the artist? That way you'll know exactly how much it will be...they don't mind. Seriously.
