I need (SIMPLE) tattoo ideas?

Question

hi, I'm seventeen, almost eighteen actually, and I want a tattoo. My parents have agreed to it, so no worries about that. the thing is, I'm not at all a flash type of person, and I really just want a very small one, in a discrete place. I want to avoid the big things like birds or mermaids. Perhaps you could help me find the perfect (simple and discrete) tattoo, and also help me with WHERE I could have it ( not in a very very visible place like stomach, arms, font of the neck...)

but of course you could resize these so don't worry about the size of the tattoo :) i really like those wings :) !! good luck :) the ones that i showed you would be very good on the lower back but centered on the lower back :)

Your question is one often asked and rarely satisfied. Tattoos are such a personal, individual thing (or at least they're supposed to be) that it's literally impossible for us to answer your question without knowing you.



What are your hobbies or interests? Do you like books, music, art, history...? Is there something in your life that has affected you permanently and can you think of an image that sums that up?



It took me about 5 years to finalize my first tattoo idea. I've wanted tattoos since I was 12 and until I was 17, the image constantly changed. I now have 3 tattoos and I'm 19. All of my ink was so carefully planned out and they only happened because I was patient.



I'm glad your parents are okay with it though--maybe they could help you think of a design?

I used to know a girl whose name was Anne and she got a very small letter A in script (similar to like the Scarlet Letter type A thing) right behind her ear...she had very short hair so you could just glimpse it sometimes and it was incredibly sexy (I think so even though I'm straight) and even somewhat elegant...I like the idea of doing something small behind your ear...go for it!
