I got a tattoo today (first one) and don't have any bepanthen. I can get some tomorrow. It's solid black (treble clef) ,I'm wondering if I could use epaderm (just pure petroleum jelly like vaseline) or I might have some sudocrem or germolene somewhere. It's just for tonight! What do I do?

The tattoo removal creams don't work, so it will just be a waste of money. But getting tattooed over a place where you've already had a tattoo (like a touchup or a coverup) do generally hurt more, I've found. I guess it's because your skin is a little tougher from the scarring. That wrecking balm is about the same price as laser, and laser actually works, so why don't you just go for a couple session of that instead?

AVOID ANY PRODUCTS CONTAINING PETROLEUM!!! These will draw the ink out of that tattoo causing the colours to fade or blur. Bepanthen is the best thing to use and its relatively cheap as well. Alternatively try hustle butter, its a little bit more expensive but i find it easier to apply than bepanthan and its less greasy

Pretty important you do NOT go for one those sort of products as it, blocks your paws and doesn't let your skin breath, I highly recommend Bepanthen, it does not suffocate your skin, and has done me perfectly. Hope this helped in someway. Goodluck.

I used baby oil on mine, hardly any scab at the time and now over 20 years later it`s as clear and sharp as when it was first done.
