How long do I leave my tattoo bandage on? (Its a special non stick bandage)?

Has any one experienced a tattooist using this type of bandage on their tatts before? Its a plaster that is non stick, and is see through, water proof. But also when the tatt bleeds the blood just sits on the top like liquid.
He said to leave it on for 24 hours... Its already been 8 hours now.

24 hours? That's a long time. You sure he didn't say 24 minutes? Usually you.only keep.it in for like 30 minutes to an hour or so.

ive never heard of a see threw bandage unless its like clear plastic wrap. and with my tattoos ive always been instructed to take the bandage off between 1-5 hours after getting the tattoo. the air helps the skin heal.
