okay, so last sunday (four days ago) i got my first tattoo! i have wanted tattoos for a long time, so i decided to get four in two days. i got two on sunday and two on monday, plus i added to one i already had. one of the tattoos i got on sunday seems to had bled. i mean the ink bled under my skin or something, it looks blurry in some spots. it just says a word with stars after it and it is located under my collar bone. I had the same artist do lettering on another tattoo, and that one turned out just fine. This one however is blurry and i am kinda freaking out.

what do i do?
whats wrong?
can it be fixed?

HELP ME PLEASEEEEE!!! :)

thank you all, i appreciate your help!

Hi there,

The first thing you need to do is calm down, by the sounds of your description, your tattoo is in the early stages of healing, and during this period, the skin can become very swollen and aggravated, this may explain the blur/distortion of your tattoo.

Another factor, is the size of the tattoo, tattoos too small, can turn into a large blob of ink over time, although this wont happen straight away, this is always something to think about.

Give your tattoo some time to heal, 2-3 weeks is usually adequate for tattoos composed mostly of lines, and then take another look at the situation, assuming you have followed the aftercare instructions properly, the skin will have settled, and the tattoo will be much more sightly.

If this is not the case, my best advice would be to return to the artist who did it, and seek their professional advice, as without a picture, or some kind of reference, it is hard to make any kind of educated suggestion.

I hope it all works out for you, and you enjoy your new tattoo!

Jake

Addition: - Judging by the size of the tattoo, there is very little chance of it healing as a "blob", is the lettering lined in ? or is there shading or block colour present in the tattoo anywhere ?

Also, due to the location of the tattoo, there is very little soft tissue in this area, which will further contribute to the skins swelling.

Keep following your aftercare instructions, and if things do not improve with in a 2-3 week timeframe, you should consult your artist.
