I'm thinking of getting a tattoo on the bottom of my foot, has anyone had this done? how long is it until you can walk on it afterwards and has it started to wear off at all?

Yes - and my god it was difficult.

The pain is moderate to high, but still tolerable as are most tats - what is difficult is the fact you will naturally twitch your foot.

I'm going to put a link to my own blog in source talking about tats and piercings, as it might interest you.

To walk on it about a week, maybe two - to be safe. Not due to the pain but to wanting to protect the new tattoo.

Mine has faded a bit, but it's many years old now, and is still readable.

Good luck :)

I don't have one there personally, but you can get it done. There are a few problems with that location.

1, walking will hurt, shoes will hurt, showering will hurt.

2, the tattoo will hurt more than most areas of the body

3, (this is the worst part) the tattoo will not last. That area is notorious for quick fading, blurring, and color loss.

So you can pay for it, endure a lot of pain, then it will look crappy as it fades away.

Bottom line is you should pick another spot so you can enjoy your tattoo for years to come.

sound sooooo cool!

bloke who did my tat had his palms dones, said that was def most painful! he said they stayed looking new and fresh for about a year until gradual fading ( not that my untrained eye would have noticed any fading) he had had them done 4 years ago!

sorry cant really help. LOVE the idea though.

good luck

I haven't got one there, but as your skin 'sheds' there the most it wouldn't last long. I've heard it has to be done more than 1 time to get it to stay for any length of time. And it would be painful....and who would see it?
