Need an idea for an infinity sign tattoo??

I've been thinking about getting an infinity sign on my left side/back/undecided. I've been practically everywhere online, and haven't been able to find one that stood out to me. I don't want just the sign though, I need something to go with it.. like someway to incorporate either my name .. or something sentimental. Any who- just wondering if some of you brilliant artists and creative minds could cook me up something?? It'd greatly be appreciated and will most likely save me from regretting a possible dull tattoo. thanks!

P.S.-My name is Sandy.. and I like.... flowers. {not a big fan of hearts}

Hi, you're p.s. could be my p.s.!

Here is an unusual look for an infinity sign, ask your artist, if this effect could be worked up, possibly in the midst of a plethora of flowers:

Or incorporated in green and autumn leaves and the skeleton leaf:

or in the center of a flower like this:

Here is a spiral made out of flowers, a sign of infinity:

Here is an infinity Celtic knot:

Here is a double infinity symbol, looks kinda like a flower:

I found this infinity with an S, (please do not use it, but be inspired by it):

dragonflies are an ancient symbol of longevity, hope, and magic:

So, work on a combination of the things that appeal to you, ... then see if you'd just want one thing, then sleep on it, and see what you dream!

good luck!

I think that's a really cool idea. I've thought of getting an infinity symbol myself!

My advice would be to look at local artist's portfolios and find one whose style meshes well with yours. Then make an appointment to talk with him/her about what kind of design you want. This is how I have worked with my artist on all of my tattoos. I never went in with a super concrete design, just ideas. And each time, she created an incredible piece of artwork for me!

So, just get your ideas together and talk to an artist. Take any pictures you find that are especially striking to you , or that you feel would be helpful. A good artist work with you until it's perfect for you.

Honestly an infinity sign is overdone. Though if its something you really want, then go for it. Never start a tattoo with a picture you think is super cool. This is going to be permanently inked into your skin so you want it to be something that means something to you, that you will love for the rest of your life. I have three white lilies and some lyrics tattooed on my leg for my dad who passed away, that i spent five years planning out. As "cliche" as the three white lilies is, it has deep meaning for me and that's all that matters, so if you find you want something overdone, try to modify it a little so that its more personal to you. Find something you truly want and care about to tattoo on your skin first. Just because you want a tattoo in general does not mean you should just think of something cool for it. Think about it long and hard, and if after 3 months you still want that exact thing, then consider getting it done.

have you tried deviantart.com??? its my favorite site for inspiration for my artwork. do what mrsselfdestruct said and take a bunch of ideas to your favorite tattoo artist and have them cook up something unique and meaningful to you. custom work is always so much more rewarding because you know that it was designed just for you and nobody else in the world has your exact design. good luck and here is a good place to start....

How about a mobius strip in the shape of the lazy 8? trim options like flowers etc. can be worked into the design and I've never seen one done on anyone (had the design in my portfolio for a couple years but never had any body take me up on it)

you could have a vine of flowers weaving through it or have it made out of a vine of flowers or possibly even your name
