Can I use a temporary tattoo as my outline for a stick and poke tattoo?

I have done many stick and poke tattoos with just drawing with pen onto the skin, but I was wondering if using a temporary tattoo as my template/outline may lead to infection? I will still use a sterile needle and clean the skin.

No don't use temp tattoos. They aren't made for this so they're packaging usually doesn't include the appropriate amount of info to tell if they're safe.

Look up transfer paper, it's what most tattoo artists use. You just write on the paper then transfer what you wrote onto the skin like a temp tattoo except now you create the original image and control what ink is used. You can also trace and even print images onto transfer paper assuming you have the appropriate printer/ink. It also let's you get long lasting temp tattoos so you don't accidentally wash part of your temp tattoo off while still working on it. Which would such.

Generally if you feel it might lead to infection you should just not do it. Doubt is the only answer you need.

You are asking for infection. Did you sterilise anything? or wash your skin? do you wash your hands thoroughly after you use the toilet?

You have been lucky so far.

The ink on a temporary tattoo is often not ink. And is defiantly not designed to be either long lasting or to dye the skin.

If you mean poke a temp tattoo into your skin- forget it. They are micro fine decals and will cause all kinds of issues.
