How long do I continue to put aquaphor on my new tattoo?

I got my first tattoo 4 days ago, it takes up the entire inside of my forearm. I have been washing it 3 times a day and coating it lightly with aquaphor. It hasn't started to peel or itch like the tattoo artist said it would. The skin just feels a little tight. I was just wondering when I should switch over to a fragrance free lotion?

It takes around a week to peel (the bigger it is the longer it takes to peel)

So use the aquaphor for around a week or until it starts to look like it scanning, then change to a lotion for dry skin (member to keep washing it 2-3 finds a day) until healed.

Takes around 3-4 weeks until fully healed



Look after it well and you may not go through the itchy stage

No need, that is just a thicker lotion. Four days is a bit early to start peeling and itching. Give it another 1-3 days for that fun to start.
