I won't be wearing tight shirts, but I'm just curious is after I put my ointment on can I tuck a paper towel in under my bra (The tattoo doesn't go high enough to touch the band of my bra) and let it hang over the tattoo w/ ointment on it? Last night I wore a very loose t-shirt to bed and wasn't happy when I woke up to have it sticking to my tattoo. Any tips I'll take! Thanks!

It's much better to leave the tattoo uncovered and let it breath...but I suppose a loose paper towel would be better than having it stuck to your shirt.

Rib tattoos, if they're performed good appear incredible. The appear could rely ordinarily on what phrases you're getting performed, the font, and the dimensions. Personally I love the appear of rib tattoos. I have one myself and feature plans to get my different part performed as good. I'm feminine so my tattoo is commonly distinct than what you're watching for, however it's an okaytree beginning at my hip developing up my left ribs after which spreading throughout my backbone. Rib tattoos are valued at the discomfort, and they're incredibly aesthetically pleasurable. In the tip despite the fact that, when you believe that it appears well and also you just like the layout and lettering you then must opt for it. You won't remorse getting whatever that you simply believe strongly approximately.

I'd probably go with some kind of medical gauze, since it's intended to be applied directly to injuries (and a tattoo is really just skin trauma, when you get down to it). I would think that a paper towel would tear or leave fibers in the tattooed area.

Also, although you didn't ask, when I got my back piece, I used a combination of neosporin and aveeno lotion several times a day. It made it heal fast, even so much that my artist was surprised at how well it had healed when i went in for my next sitting (usually the following weekend).

Like the first answer, it really is better to let it breath, if possible. But if you have to wear something over it, gauze would probably be my first choice to protect it.

If you can. leave your bra off, if your bra is covering the new tatt. I did this with both of my rib pieces
