The professional places do. Your passport should work fine as a id. If you dont have that your birthcertificate will work too.

Every place I have gotten a tattoo from has had to have a copy of my ID with the paperwork I signed. Even if you are fifty a legal shop will still need to have a copy for their files.

it depends on where you go get it at .like a lot of places in joplin, missouri doesnt check for i.d. i know a freshman in high school whose 14 or 15 and got a tattoo.but you should check out how strict the location is.most people are extremely strict about the age thing.

Any place that doesn't check ID should never be an option when you're wanting to get a tattoo. It is illegal for tattoo artists to not check IDs so who's to say that they aren't breaking other laws about tattooing. I'd never go to someone who didn't check my ID, even the places I am a regular at where they know I am of age still check my ID and make a copy of it on the sheet I sign off on.
You can go to the DMV in your area and get a regular ID that is different from a driver's license and it probably isn't that expensive.

Yes, almost all of them, unless you plan on contracting Hepatitis in a back alley somewhere. They usually scan the id and attach it to a slip you sign saying you know all of the procedures and your sure want to commit to this yada yada. You can get an id for $10 [that's how much it is in NC anyway] that's what I suggest.

Yes they do, and if u don't have your ID u cant get a tattoo, required by law at least here in ohio but i believe they have to do it everywhere, anybody can lie about there age, that's why they need to see your id

some places do, some dont, its just your luck. if you are 18 though, you can just show them your ID, and say you havnt gotten a new one issued and they can do the math on your birthday to that day to see that you are 18... if not then they will just let you get 1

Yea. He ought to ask to be certain your identity previously any ink gets positioned on you. i think that it fairly is a call for. If he would not, i does no longer propose following with the aid of with that artist.
