I have 2 tattoos on my arm at the moment. I have a rose on my shoulder cap and an owl on the inside of my arm. I am going to be working on a 3/4 sleeve. My next tattoo is going to be a traditional looking anchor with some little flowers around it. Both my tattoos right now are black and gray with a lot of shading. I absolutely love traditional sailor jerry style tattoos and the bright colors used in them, so my question is how can I incorporate some color into my sleeve? I've seen some traditional style tattoos where they are pretty heavy black with little pops of color which I really love. Will it look good if I add some color or should I keep it all black and gray? Thank you!!

I would consult with your artist. Between the two of you, you should be able to come up with the best way to add color without taking away from what you already have. Just keep in mind, a tattoo done in black and gray doesn't always look right with color added later...

Good luck to you.

Yes, yes you can! Personally i love the mix of black and grey with a pop of color. and sleeves don't have to stick to one theme. it actually looks great to have random pieces of art placed all over.
