Question:
Is it a bad idea to get a tattoo on the bend of your wrist?

I'm not asking about pain, that's not a problem. I'm concerned about fading and the tattoo blobbing up. I want to get "Let it be." on the inside of my left wrist, preferably on the bend (though probably only half of the tattoo would be on the bend).

i have tattoos at all sorts of bend in my body. i have one on each wrist, and one under each collar bone that move every time i move my arms.

yeah, it makes the healing suck a bit more because it hurts when you move. but none of them blobbed up, none of them have faded. if the tattoo is done well, then you will be absolutely fine

No, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. It will be slower to heal there because the skin in constantly moving, and may require a touch-up, but lots of people have tattoos there, including me. I also have tattoo work on the inside of both elbows, and those were challenging to heal as well.

Best of luck.

im not sure what you mean by on the bend?

like on the side under your thumb or under the palm of your hand where you can see the veins?

loads of people get tattoos under their wrist but not seen many on the side.

saying that pro wrestler jeff hardy has a tattoo that goes all over his wrist~

he has one on the other wrist too but i cant find a picture sorry!

i think as long as you dont have it too small it should be ok but discuss it with whoever is doing your tattoo (unless you are doing it yourself) maybe ask around in shops and see if they think it would be alright!

i have a band around my right wrist right at the bend. i had to get mine re-done because it did fade. it was basically the shading. it depends on the tattoo artist and the quality of the work they do

If it's done well then you shoudln't have any problems with blobbing or blow outs. Shop around for a good artist. Take a look at tattoos with fonts in their portfolios and pick one you like.

you may have to have touch ups on the bend, not all tattooists will do it there they go past the bend but if they do they will say it may need re doing once it has healed
