I already know that in the sate of Oregon you have to be 18+ to get a tattoo in a tattoo shop. Considering i'll be 18 in 5 moths and sill don't have my license or permit, is it possible that i can bring in my school I.D for proof of identification? I've tried searching online already to figure the answer out to my question and nothing came up.

You can go to the DMV and get a State ID card in most places. Reputable tattoo shops will require a government issued ID like a Driver's License, State ID or military ID. They ask for this as proof of your age and identity.

You can call local shops in the area to inquire if they'd accept any other combination of ID like your school id and a birth certificate. But having a state ID will be useful for any other official activities you have to prove your identity for.

the only way you can find out is trying to take your school I.D. to your local tattoo shop and see if they accept it or not. All they really want is your name and picture. if your I.D has your picture you're probably good to go.

no. it has to be a state issued id that has your picture and birthday on it. school ids cant be used, unless it is being used in combination to a state issues id. my shop asks for two ids, i give them my license and school id. you can go to DMV and get a non-driver id card. that will count
