This is what it says when I look up the law for PA;
Tattooing and Body Piercing- It is unlawful to provide tattoo or body piercing services to anyone under age 18 without the consent of the parent or guardian who is present at the time of the procedure.
Violators are guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree and, upon conviction, will be sentenced to either pay a maximum fine of $100 or be imprisoned a maximum of three years, or both.
What I gather from this is that as long as I have my father's verbal consent, written consent (signing a the sheet) and he is present at the time of the tattoo I should be able to get tattooed.
Although, if this was true, I would be able to get a tattoo in NJ.
Am I allowed by law to get a tattoo in PA and NJ, but cant because of the artist not being comfortable with someone under 16 years old?
I'm just looking for someone else's interpretation of the tattooing law for PA. Or if perhaps you live in PA and you or a friend got a tattoo done under the age of 16 with parents consent?
Thank you so much for you help.
