Lip Tattoo inside does it hurt?

does it hurt to get the inside of the lip done do u hav to take ur lip piercing out?

I got a tattoo on my inner lip. It didn't hurt too bad, it was a weird feeling. The only thing to remember when getting a inner lip tattoo is that they can and most likely will fade, because of the acids in the mouth. I had to get a touch up within the first month of my tattoo, it hurt more than getting the tattoo itself. And it's been around 6 months and I need another touch up.



As for taking your piercing out it truly depends on where it is, and how the artist you go to will tattoo it. When I went he put two clamps on my lip to keep it still and a piercing would have got in the way. I am sure there is a way the tattoo artist can work around that.

I have an inner lip tattoo. Although it hurt, it was not painful at all. It feels like something is vibrating against your lip. I don't have a lip piercing so I don't know if you need to take it out - I would guess no, but ask your tattoo artist. Good luck!

Why would you get a tattoo there??? That makes nooooo sense. I'm sure it does hurt and people are saying it doesn't just to make them look tough!!

they do hurt because the inside of your lip its very tough. also since your mouth is always wet it scabs up very nasty and takes forever to heal. most of the time when it does heal massive color loss and it doesn't last very long anyways they fade extremely fast.

my cousin got one of them on her lip the other week. she said its like getting your ears peirced type of pain.
