What is the best brand/type of tattoo ink?

I have heard that Joker and Skin Candy are pretty good brands, but they are kind of spendy. I know, you get what you pay for, but I was wondering if there are any other brands that are equally as good for a better price. Has any one tried "scream" brand?

There is not a "best" tattoo ink out there. But I can recommend a couple. Kuri Sumi is indeed good for VERY dark tribal work ONLY. Joker is not all that great. Skin Candy is good (Tokyo blends only!). Prizm is junk. Scream, a couple others mentioned, is crap except for the greens, blues, and browns (made by MOMs). Intenze, Natural, Iron Butterfly, StarBright and a new ink AllaPrima is simply awsome. If there is a brand that can be called the best I would have to say AllaPrima. I have several different sets of the AllaPrima and they are indeed amazing but expensive.

Products change, opinions change so it's hard to say. I recommend looking at this list of the best rated tattoo ink: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_p_72_0?rh=n%3A3760901%2Ck%3Atattoo+ink%2Cp_72%3A1248903011&keywords=tattoo+ink&ie=UTF8&tag=amzn201-20&qid=1407587482&rnid=1248901011

It's always being updated so you won't be getting any outdated brands. Kuro Sumi, Scream, Skin Candy, it's all on there.
