Heya guys, its my 18th birthday today, so i am obviously going to get atleast a few drinks in tonight, to celebrate the occasion.

the issue really is that i have booked the first sitting on my ink tomorrow at 12.30, less that 24 hours from now, will it be safe if i stop drinking 12-14 hours before my tattoo, and get a nights kip, to get my ink tomorrow, or will i just bleed alot due to the thinning of blood?

I am pretty sure that the legal drinking age is 21.

Edit:: Ahh. I understand that--I've got some cousins over there. That would have been good to point out, though.

As long as you aren't **** faced drunk when you get it done you should be alright.

Well...Your tattoo will not look as good as it would if you hadn't been drinking. You will bleed more making it harder for the artist but not impossible. Anything that doesn't take during this session will surley be fixed during your next session. Also, please don't "smoke trees" on your way to get your tattoo, it will only make your chances of passing out higher. Also EAT a meal before you go to your appointment. This will help keep your sugar up, making it easier for your body to tolerate the pain. Just keep the drinking a little lighter then normal and you should be okay!

You should really avoid alcoholic beverages 24 hours prior to having a tattoo done. You will bleed much more making it more difficult for your tattooist as well as actually bleeding ink out. Happy Birthday, maybe you could put off the tattoo to the following day. i am sure your tattooist will understand and appreciate it.

By the time you go to get the tattoo your alcohol level will be fine. I don't know if you "smoke trees" but that's what I did on my way to get my tat and it was a breeze.

tricky one! i would say dont drink the night before, u need to eat before getting a tattoo and you wont feel like that if your hungover! u can go out after and get merry but maybe leave it till then- the tattooist may well deny you if you're blatantly hungover!

Not a doctor but 12-14 hours should be okay your blood should be back to normal by then.
