I get that sometimes under some of the browns and yellows in my tattoos and it's just an allergic reaction that comes in flare ups and goes away. There's nothing to be done about it really, just something that happens in the body that causes a reaction and then your body gets used to it again and it's all balanced out again. There are hundreds of different brands of tattoo pigments on the market so it could be a reaction to that specific one the tattooist has used for that specific tattoo and it might just be more concentrated or deeper in the skin to be causing the reaction. Should go away but might come back again over the time of the tattoo and then go away again. Just the risk of having a tattoo unfortunately. Don't scratch at it or it will scar your tattoo and make it worse, just try and wait it out to go away.

I've noticed that there are certain things I eat, mosquito bites, and once I was per scribed painkillers that raised up the outline of my tattoo. It's strange, but it's just a reaction. Have you eaten anything different? And if it's on your chest, it could just be a pimple or something that you can't really see because of the ink.

i get lumps come up all over my tattoos at times, they itch and get hot and then the lumps come up, almost like ive been biten by something.

its just your body reacting, at the end of the day its always going to try and repel the ink and this can manafest itself in the small bite like lumps.

if the lump doesnt go, gets bigger or feels painful go to your dr to get it checked.

it can't be irritation because you have had it for a year. It's probably an infection but please see a doctor because it could be serious. I hope it turns out well. Will pray for you. :)
