Ok so I love my Tragus piercing and I don't want to get rid of it any time soon.

My problem is, I was just signed as a runway model and in order to be taken seriously I have to remove the piercing while I'm at the show (anywhere from 2-4 hours).

I've had the piercing for about 8 months now and I've never taken it out.

Would it be ok for me to leave the jewelry out for those 2-4 hours that I'll be walking?

as far as i know, once it has healed, the piercing takes about the same amount of time to close as an upper cartiladge piercing. which is a couple days. Depending on your body chemistry, it may shrink a bit during one of your longer walks, but if you put a bit of vaseline on it when you put it back in, you should be fine.

I've had my belly button pierced for 12 years and i had an 8 gage ring through it. I had to have an MRI last august and I removed all my piercings. A few hours later I had a very hard time getting the same ring back through the hole. I had to go all the way down to a 14 gage. It seems like if I had left it overnight, it would have closed. I figured since it has been there so long, it would be "permanent" but I guess I was wrong. Good luck with yours.

It will be fine to take it out for 2-4 hours. Since you got it done 8 months ago it has had plenty of time for it to heal over it. Now you should be able to leave it out for days at a time with out it healing up. So it will be fine and dont worry. I have the same piercing also and I have to leave it out for about 7 hours a day for work everyday and it has never healed up.

I have my tragus pierced too. It should be ok to remove it for that short period of time. Just be sure to clean your jewelry and your ear before you put it all back.

It depends mine closed up pretty fast.

Why don't you try to use a clear retainer for the piercing.
