A tattoo is a very personal thing. What is right for you may not be right for them. If getting your husband name tattooed on your butt seems sexy as hell to both you and him, then guess what? It damn well is. Go for it! You only live once and you will never love anyone like you love him. Do whatever makes you Happy whenever. Don't worry about the tattoo artist looking at you butt, most if not all are very professional and will only expose the area they will be working on.

Tattoo lore says that tattooing someone's name on yourself will bring bad luck. I had my now husband's name tattooed on my chest and we've had a ton of bad luck in the relationship, a complete roller coaster ride. I would go for a symbol, something that stands for him or your relationship.

Personally I wouldn't get anyone's name on me execpt my kids or family members. Someone like a spouse or bf/gf is kind of risky. If you break up with them or something then thats on you forever. Maybe try for something that symbolizes him but something that you can live with if something (god forbid) happens to your marriage.

Yeh, I'd have to advise against having a name tattooed anywhere on your body. Not that I believe in luck but every person I know who had a name tattooed ended up breaking up with that person and getting rid of the tattoo is more difficult that getting rid of the relationship.

It totally depends on how strong your bond. if your relationship is "iffy" than maybe the symbol is a good idea. something that symbloizes your love and affection that no one else would get. but if your marriage is perfect and seems like it will last for (well, basically forever) than go for it. it may make your bond stronger!

i was once told by a woman covered in tattoos. never put a name on your body that you did not give birth too. instead use his zodiac sign or find out what his name means and use that expression.



remember that tattoo are permentant and the only way to remove them is worse than the tattoo itself.

I vote for no. I knew someone who had her husbands name tattooed on her chest in very large letters and when she caught him cheating she had to have huge flowers, a parrot, and a bunch of other crap that went across her chest and up her neck to cover it up. Another friend had her husband's name tattooed in large letters across her chest but when they broke up due to his infidelity, she put III (the third) at the end for her son's name. Another friend had a boyfriends name on her *** and the next man, whom she married, has to stare at another mans name on her *** every time they have sex. Get a symbol and BOTH of you get it in the same spot. Lots of couples go that route. I agree, only get your children, your parents or YOUR name tattooed on you. If I had a nickel for every boyfriend who wanted me to put his name on me, I'd be a sideshow freak. But no one ever volunteered to ink my name, hmmm........

i vote symbolic just in casy yno, if it all goes **** up one day you'll hate having his name on you, i swore to myself i wouldnt get names, just ideas of the people. have him help choose a tattoo that means a lot to both of you, then it'll mean more than you choosing one. im now tempted to get my boyfs name done but i swore and i mean to stick with it, unless of course were still together in 5yrs.

i say if you wanna do it, gopher it. in the unfortunate event of a separation or divorce, names and initials are EASY as hell to cover up, just gonna need more tattoo work done, make it into a picture or something. so dont think its ENTIRELY permanent.
