Using a fake ID to get a tattoo?

Me and my older brother have always been very close. Always been there for each other, and always look after each other. This upcoming March he's shipping out for Army Basic Training. We both want to get matching tattoos so we can always look at it and remind us of each other. The only issue is that i'm 17. My birthday is in October so I would just wait, but he'll be long gone by then. My parents would be against it. I have a source of obtaining a fake ID that can pass hologram tests, etc. Money isn't an issue.

Since you are less that a year from being 18 and you and your brother really want this neat brotherly tattoo, I think you have a good case to plea with your parents. Write up your ideas and the pros and cons of such a tattoo and present them, quietly and calmly, to your parents. Offer to pay for your tattoo yourself if that will help.

I am not a tattoo enthusiast but if our sons wanted such special tattoos, I would readily sign my name to the permission slip.

By the way - NO fake ID, please! Honesty is is always the best policy. Remember that and you won't get in trouble!

You should wait. Don't be selfish and risk getting a tattoo shop closed for your lack of patience. You can get the artists and owner in so much trouble if someone were to find out that they tattooed a minor. That reputation will stay with them and make it hard for them to be taken seriously and find a job. You could ask your parents to take you. Some places, depending on your state's laws, will allow a minor to be tattooed with PARENTAL consent.

Do you realize that if the artist accepted the fake ID, and then got caught, they would lose their license? I get that the tattoo is important to you, but so important that you would ruin someones career?

I would wait considering the fact of anybody found out like your parents it would make that tattoo artist loses license so for the best interests of the tattoo artist please don't do it

Really annoying that everyone put their opinion on the philosophy of tattoos and tried to give motherly advice.

Don't get a tattoo. It will keep you from making big money when you get older and wiser.
