First of all tattoo's on the fingers are extrememly painful. Secondly the tattoos usually look nice for 6 months to 1 year and then the lines tend to fall out (fade) If your going to get some ink get it somewhere that you can enjoy it for the rest of your life. I will not let any of my artist tattoo a clients hand wether you have 0 or 100 tattoo's, it is bad business for any tattoo studio. Sounds like you want some ink, just place some more thought into what and where and then go get a tattoo by a PROFESSIONAL artist that you can enjoy for years to come. I have been in this business for 18 years, and I have never seen anyone take a finger or knuckle tattoo well. I hope this helps.

Not crazy about tattoos on fingers or knuckles. There is no mystery in that especially with your own name tattooed. Friends know your name. You don't need to advertise it. Most jobs you apply for, are going to notice it and may not want it out there for all their customers to have to read. Make sense?

think about that for a second. if your young and want a job later in life, most places are gonna look down on tattoos on your fingers.
besides, i know there are quite a few tattoo places who wont even think about tattooing fingers untill youve "earned it" by getting several other tattoos. sounds like a weird little rule, but it does happen. my fiance wanted five letters, one on each of his fingers. he has no other tattoos, and three tattoo places we went into told him he needed other ink on him before they would even consider tattooing on his fingers

Really young people turn into people who want a good job, and this might be something denied to you with visible tattoos. It might be a really in thing to do now but you might not be the same person in 10-20 years. I always laugh, wondering what some of these tats are going to look like when the skin is shriveled! Yes, it's dangerous to put another's name on your body permanently and it's odd to put your own on there, too.

To heck with a business setting you'll have trouble finding a job at all other then washing dishes or pumping gas.
(No offense to people who have those jobs, but they are jobs that people do to survive, not ones they dreamed about as a child.)

dont tattoo public skin,,,,skin thats on your hands, face or anyplace where you cant hide them, you'll have a hard time finding work in a business setting.

do you know where the "LOVE" and "HATE" tattoos originated?
from a movie called "night of the hunter" its an awesome movie.
but i think that people who get their own name tattooed on themselves are weird. its like...*your own name* why do you need it tattooed on yourself? so everyone else knows your name? i dont know... its just weird to me.

if you want to, go for it! it might kind of get annoying though because everyone will know your name and they might just start talking to you like they know you but you have no idea who they are. just something to consider.
