Ok im going to be 18 in some months, and to celebrate it im going to get my nipples pierced hands down (I don't care about your damn criticism about my choice of body piercings) so since im going to be 18 when it happen am i suppose to tell my mother, because i don't tell her anything so why should this be different? I mean I researched it for a while and I know how to care for it like I wrote the aftercare tips myself, but should I still tell her or let her find out her self? I mean I don't want my Brother and Uncle knowing.

You do not need to tell her. If she finds out then you might half to but besides that it is a difficult piercing for others to find out about. Unless you were tight shirts all the time then they might be noticeable. But do it for your self and not worry what others think. I have mine done and completely enjoy them.

I too went and got my nipples pierced for my 18th birthday. My parents aren't the type to worry about what I do to my body as long as it's not dangerous, so they actually let me do a bunch of chores around the house to save up money for the piercings. They weren't crazy about the idea, but they're just supportive parents.



If you don't want to tell your mom, then don't. Just wear lined bras and thick swimsuit tops when you're around her after you are pierced. Once you're 18, there isn't much she can say even if you do somehow forget and take your top off in front of her to change clothes or something. If your mom is the type to tell your brother or uncle against your wishes, then she'll just have to live without knowing.



In the grand scheme of things, even if your whole family found out about your piercings they would all get over it in time. Nipple piercings are something that people might make a big deal over for a few weeks, but it would loose its interest after a while.
