How to arrange this tattoo?

Question

I'm getting lightning on my back, behind my left shoulder. It will represent the internal power/strength that I need with what's going on. I would really like for the tattoo to be set in like a stormy sky. I was thinking of having an all black or dark purple background with blue lightning coming from a cloud. Or, maybe have like fog, with the lightning easily visible. I'm talking actual lightning, not a lightning bolt symbol. Any ideas?

my only advice is to go to a really really well liked and experienced tattooer, this sounds like itll have lots of soft lines and immaculate detail, you dont want it coming out looking like a homie did it.. an artist will be able to draw this up for you. this also depends on your body shape and what will flow with it nicely

Find a tattoo artist you like his work then tell him/her what you want then give him free reign..they are artists and they do a better job if given free reign to be creative.If they can get into it they will do a much better job.Tell them why you are getting the tattoo and what it means to you...and what you basically what you want.
