Why do women want to ruin their body with tattoos?

I find them as un feminine as possible- might as well put an anchor on the shoulder as a butterfly on the butt. To me it is a sign of an impulsive and unstable character. It may also be a good reason to ask them if they have any std's. I don't think I have ever met a classy woman that wore one.

Thats just YOUR opinion. It is not ruining their body. It is an expression just like some women get their ears pierced some women like tattoos and love them. I feel that some tattoos if not in a well placed area don't look very feminine, but not by ANY means do they look "like a truck stop emoployee" I think this is a very close minded statement and point of view.

Have you never heard the term "beauty is in the eye of the beholder?" Just because you don't like them, doesn't mean that everyone else thinks they look bad. I love them. I have three. And multiple piercings too which I'm sure you probably don't like either. And no. I don't look like a truck stop employee. Actually I get compliments ALL the time for my tats and piercings from all sorts of different people (even church people!). I have seen women with tats and piercings that look like truck stop hookers, yes, but they're usually the sort of person who would look like truck stop hookers regardless of whether or not they had tattoos. Besides, you really shouldn't judge people on their appearences...

Because it is art and with art, the beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone has their opinions and preferences. There are plenty of guys who like women with tattoos. Just as there are women that don't like men with tattoos. Who really cares. If it is not your thing than it doesnt really matter, there are plenty of women that will fall into your likes for women. That's a pretty raw generalization, hoss. I have a tattoo on my back, and it was a well thought-out undertaking. I work for a large company in a professional position. People who get tattoos do so for a variety of reasons, and from a variety of backgrounds. Your generalization is unfounded.

First of all it is my body so it is my choice.

Art is a form of freedom of speech.

I personally have 2 discreteley placed tattoos.

I do not look like I belong working at a truck stop!

What you do with your body is your buisiness

Usually the high class, stuck up people like yourself never get to expierence things better then reservations and 2 faced hob nobbing!

What's wrong with tattoos? And,according to what would decide upon entering or not entering relationships? To tattoos? The tattoos would be more important than the girl itself? Then that's sad,my friend.Everyone's absolutely free to do whatever they want with their bodies.Wear whateva they want,tattoo,pierce,just WHATEVER.Why would you care,hmmm? Why are you posting in this section if you don't like tattoos? Why do you care? People get tattoos to express themselves, remember people/events in their lives. I will be covered with tattoos when I have the money! I have 3 and I love them! People can do whatever they want to THEIR bodies. You have no right to try to tell someone otherwise. its all down to individual opinions. i love tattoos and i think they look cool, and beautiful. i wouldnt consider it a ruined body just cause its tattooed. lots of people think that they will look horrible when you get old, but i think that when youre 70yrs if the look of a tattoo is the only worry you have then youre doing fine

You have your own opinion and you do make a valid point about some women AND MEN who get tattoos like you mentioned. However I know many girls, including myself, who have very hidden and conservative tattoos, and we still look very feminine. It's not nice to clump everyone into one generalized stereotype.

okay so I am a women and I personally was thinking (and still thinking) of getting a tattoo. Not a big one but a small heart on my ankle. I would never get a big tattoo, but I do understand why others might.



By getting a tattoo, same reason as men, women see it as showing their strength. Not all women want to be considered a girly girl, so by getting a tattoo, it shows they are strong enough to handle themselves.

I can see your point as they all think it's a good thing when they are young however when they are elderly they regret it. On the flip side though it could be argued that it reminds people of their youth and each to their own. We are all different and all want different things.
