i had an idea that i want for a tattoo i want my boyfriends specific lips tattooed on me so its special but i dont know how it would me done? if it can be done? i want his shape and everything but dont know how? what do you think of it, i thought its better than a name because noone would think anything of it.

They'd know it was sombodys special lip prints, as soon as you stopped them from making a minor change, to make them 'look better'. Just get his lip prints on a piece of paper. Several ways to do it. One way is with lipstick, sprayed with fixative, so it won't smear easily. (Hairspray, just a touch of it, works okay) Then you make a photocopy, to use for us to make a stencil. A better way is to have him use an ink pad, for rubber stamps, and do a few of them, till you get one you really like. Then bring it in, and we'll make a stencil, using the original as a guide. They can be tricky, when someone comes in with a lip print already on their skin, and says 'turn this into a tattoo'. That can be a real problem. That might be a reason they would say 'no'. The ink pad works best. Also good for beloved animal pawprints, and the like. The stencil, as a guide, makes all the difference in the world. Take care.

Think this through, its a tattoo, and it will stay on you forever. Like some people think they have found the love of their life and gets their partners name tat on their chest. Then they break up, and its still there, for your next partner to see. I'm not saying you and your boyfriend will break up, or that you will regret getting a tattoo. You seem to love him a lot to get this tat. Most tattoo artists are artists themselves, meaning they have very good drawing skills. So, take your boyfriend to the tattoo place and ask them to draw his lips, if you want to surprise him, then take a picture of him. I think its a great and very romantic idea. Much, much better than a name. :D

well i would never get a tattoo that reminded me of a boyfriend because i think it would jinx it. everybody i know who has gotten a tattoo with there boyfriends name or something like what you want always leads to them breaking up i would consider it if we were married for a few years and make sure you guys are at a good spot in your relationship like if you guys are fighting every night and don't trust each other then i would say to skip it. if you guys really want one then try waiting a month and see how you guys are and if you guys are awesome then i say go for it! hope i helped:)

Another way would be to have him do the lipstick, get a good 'kiss print', then put large clear packing tape over it to seal it. Then you can use any copy machine to get a perfect image to take to your tattooist.

I would advise making 10 copies, and trying different placements, colors, black and gray etc. So that you will be sure of the look before you go in.

The tattooist can take it from there.

Well, you might not want to get something that special, because you and your boyfriend could breakup.

But if your sure about this, take a picture of his lips. And take it to the tattoo artist, they should be able to draw them and then make it as a tattoo.

make your boyfriend wear lipstick. Then press his lips on a piece of paper. After that, spray "Fixitive" on the paper so the lip imprint doesn't smear anymore. You can get fixitive from any art supply store. After that, scan it onto your computer, clean it up in photoshop and print it out. Take it to your favorite shop and show it to them.

but yes it can be done, it will probably look similar to when you kiss a mirror with lipstick on, its the only way you could do it i guess, would look a bit too feminine to be a blokes lips though?
