the tattoo artist shouldn't have tattooed you while you had a sunburn. it can affect the healing process. i'm not sure how long you've had the tattoo, so i can't tell ya what to do now.

First of all, you shouldnt have gotten the tattoo with a sun burn as it would have to have hurt like 10 times more, secondly, yes it can affect how the tattoo will turn out. Just like if you get a sun burn on a tattoo after its done, you can peel some of the ink off, especially if it is fresh. At worst you will need to get a touch up done, and if the tattoo artist is any good at all, they will do that for free. My advice, stay out of the sun for a few days before getting a tattoo, and wear strong sunblock if you must go out.

Although I'd be uncomfortable putting any money on it, you probably won't have a major problem, *I think*. The ink goes rather deeper than the peeling skin. It might affect the quality in that the needle had to punch through skin less flexible & supple than normal. I'd keep your eyes open for the need of a touchup.

Take all of the above with a grain of salt; I'm not an artist, and that's a fairly unusual situation. I too am surprised that the artist worked on you that day.

The artist probably should not have tattoed you but after you get tattoed the skin over the ink peels a little anyways and unless you scab up it will not affect the tattoo at all. but prolonged exposure to sun will fade the ink so try to cover the tattoo with sunscreen when ever pssible so it stays looking bright and fresh longer

I can't believe a tattooist actually gave you a tattoo while you had a sunburn and were starting to peel or you looked like you were going to peel. they would have told you it would affect the way it would come out, unless you told them you didn't peel. I don't know of any tattooist's that would even do it. They must not have been to good.

you should never get a tattoo with a sunburn..ouch.. why would someone do that. if they were professional, theywould have re booked it for you :\. i dont know about the outcome tho. lotta lotion. go back to the person and ask them to look at it. but tattoo's peel on their own, so meh.

wow.... I don't know what else to say.....if it was a reputable tattoo artist they should have noticed that you had sunburn and told you that it would affect the healing process. I would imagine it will affect the way it looks when it is fully healed ...
