This is a good question that is easy to answer. It is a no lose situation. Tattoos are just perfect for a person that enjoys them and if you don't like them there is no requirement to ever get one. I am on the side of those that truly like tattoos. But let's be open minded and be respectful is someone else takes the opposite view.

There's no way to answer this except to decide what is right for YOU.
I'm happier with tattoos than I was without them. They make me look more like the "me" I picture myself as. But then I have friends who don't have tattoos and have no plans to get any and they are happy that way.
You do what is right for YOU.

It's your body. If you want tattoos then get tattoos. Weather it's better or not to have them, no one can really answer this for you.
Some people choose not to get them because they don't want them or it's just not for them, or they don't like tattoos.

It doesn't matter. I have tattoos and have people rudely ask why I got them. I have never, ever heard a tattooed person ask a non-tattooed person why they DON'T have tattoos. They are personal and although people can be judgmental, those are people I don't want to associate with anyway.

In what universe could it be "better" to have tattoos than to not have them? Even if tattoos are acceptable, how could it be "better" to have tattoos?
