tramp stamps ? ! ? !?

Question

are all "tramp stamps" trashy? or if a design is elegant and placed on the lower back for a girl can it be beautiful looking. im guessing it depends on the person right? im 18, a young girl. not skanky, but i want a lower back tattoo because i like how the placements cant be seen all the time. and the tattoo i designed needs the width area of my back. so, really.... do all lower back tats look trashy?

It's only a tramp stamp if you're a tramp. And if you are a tramp, it doesn't matter where it is on your body. It's still a tramp stamp. :P Lol...



Don't worry about other peoples superficial labels. If you want it, and you dont' think it looks trashy, go for it. You only live once. :)



I think of the lower back area as an opportunity to frame the lower portion of the back so that it cradles the backpiece that will eventually bloom above it. It also helps to define curves and enhance a woman's shape if it's designed and done right. :D

Typically I consider them to be the tattoo that most girls get to look "cool". Most girls go to a shop right around the time they turn 18 and look through flash and decide within 20-30 minutes that they are going to put the butterfly with tribal there. It's not the placement that make it trashy, it's the unoriginality. I personally do not like the placement, so I will never put one there until I start a back piece. It doesn't take much to take away the tramp stamp stigma, just a little originality and a custom design over flash. Then it will be ink versus just another tattoo! Good luck!

I'm planning on getting a tattoo that goes all the way across my lower back. It's not going to be trashy at all because I am not trashy. It's not the tattoo that makes the girl trashy it's the girl that can make the girl trashy.

i think tramp stamps can look okay if they're done well. if the person with the tattoo has lots of tattoos it looks natural on them but if a slut has one and wears trashy things obviously it's going to look trashy, even if it is a really nice tattoo.



if you love it get it, but be prepared for people talking about it and saying its a tramp stamp

There is nothing wrong with getting a tattoo on your lower back. In fact i have one. I didn't get it for anyone else but me. I choose there because it is somewhere that i can hide it if i don't want people to see. The only time that i think lower back tattoos are trashy is when the girls that have them where thongs you can see when they bend over and wear clothes that are revealing. And it also always depends on the tattoo.

well its for you, so if you want it go for it! it does suck that a lower back tattoo is considered a "tramp stamp" ...but i don't think all lower back tattoos look trashy, only bad tattoos look trashy.

the placement of a tattoo does not reflect much on the person its on....tramp stamps are ok if its a good design

It's the girl that makes the tattoo trampy, no matter where is it on the body, I think it got it's name as some girls like to wear their jeans very low slung just to show off their tattoo, which can look trampy.

they're only trampy if you go around wearing super low jeans and cutoff shirts, showing every guy who walk by.

if you just put it there because it's a pretty or meaningful spot, go ahead!



word of warning! you may not be able to receive and epidural with that placement, should you ever give birth. so either you are very tough, or just take that into consideration :)
