I have an interview for a job at Bi-mart tomorrow. I have one tattoo on my forearm (medium sized). I dont know yet if bimart allows employees to have tattoos, and I cant seem to find anyone who knows. Should I wear long sleeves and not say anything unless I am offered a job? Or should I let it show and just let them bring up the subject while I am there?

Personally I would wear long sleeves to cover it at the interview, it really shouldn't make a difference to the interview unless there is a policy in place regarding 'body decoration', but don't take the risk.

I would cover it up. Go to the interview and at the end when the ask if YOU have any questions, I would simply ask them how do they feel about tattoos or do they have a policy. They will tell you their answer and they might simply tell you they don't have a problem as long as it's covered or they may ask for detaisl liek where, what is it... etc.

GL Hope this Helps :)

this is not discrimination in the event that they deny you the job because of the tattoo like somebody else mentioned, employers have that best, and ACLU might by no skill safeguard you in case you tried to sue for discrimination. That aside, your ultimate wager could be to pass away it uncovered. in case you cover it for the interview, and that they have got an anti-tattoo coverage that forbids seen tattoos, then you might could plan on masking it on your tenure on the agency. in case you cover it for the interview, then pass away it uncovered once you initiate the job, the have the best to fireside you instantaneous, no questions asked, and there could be not something you may do approximately it, this is not discrimination. i'm a tattoo artist and very own my own keep, and that i don't enable my artists to have facial or neck tattoos. maximum persons think of this is stupid on condition that we are a tattoo keep, yet, that's my keep and that i make the regulations. Sorry to be too unique, only could determine you recognize all factors of it and don't pass in thinking it would be discrimination in the event that they did not employ you. you weren't born with the tattoos, they seem to be a decision. ultimate desires and that i will keep my palms crossed for you!!!

Do not bring it up in the interview unless they do. I think wearing a long sleeve shirt would be more professional so I suggest you wear one of those.

Unless the Tattoo is offencive they should not have any problem with it.

well, you should just ket them know that you have a tatoo because if they offer you the job and then you say i have a tatoo,,then tehy might htinjk you lie and might not want to employ you any further. when you bring up teh matter just say that you cna cover it up with a long sleeve top or if they want you to wear a short bring up the fact that you can wear tatoo covers.

hope that i am a little bit helpfulll. and good luck in your interveiw!

Well, I would wear the long sleeves, and if your really concerned, ask them about their policy on visible tattoos. If they say no way, then just always wear long sleeves to work.

I would wear long sleeves, I don't have a problem with tattoos but the sad fact is that it could negatively impact their impression of you. But obviously if they ask if you have one don't lie! Good luck!

Hey

Usually in the day of interview they check all ur cloths and ur apperance specially in this bad economy situation. In my opinion try to cover it unless you get the job then show it .

Wishing you luck :)

I wouldn't take the chance for it. jobs are difficult to find, so play it safe, man.
