Miscarriage tattoo ideas?

Hiya I had a miscarriage 6 1/2 weeks ago, I was exactly 9 weeks pregnant, they think the baby had died not long after my scan at 6 weeks. Right from the day I found out I was pregnant our gut feeling was the we were having a boy and decided if it were a boy we would name him Oscar. After losing the baby we decided to name him Oscar anyway.

So my question is: I really want a tattoo to represent and remember Oscar by but I'm really not sure what the get! I was thinking angel wings on my shoulder but I think I'd like something where I can see it. Also I don't know whether to get his name and dates and if so which dates due date miscarriage date? Or do I get something that isn't so obvious? Any ideas would be great

I am sorry for your lost and I think your idea for the wings is a wonderful idea. You should have the angel wings and underneath it should be the day that he was conceived to the estimated day that he passed this could be a miniature tattoo on the inside of your wrist. You could also place above the wings,

I'm very sorry for your loss Love. Going through the loss of a baby is something I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. I lost mine at 12 weeks about 2 years ago and not a day goes by that I don't think about it. It's one of the worst feelings in the world and it does get better with time but will always be with you. Anyway, I've been thinking about getting a tattoo as well in remembrance of it. I'm going to get mine on the inside of my wrist so I can always see it. I am having the same problem though, finding something to do. I've looked and looked all over the internet for ideas but nothing strikes my interest. How old are you darling,, a miss carriage isn't something you have to remember- it wasn't a baby at 9 weeks- it is something that happens to many people- say for instance you have 6 miss carriages and then 2 children aged 3 and 6 yrs old, are you actually going to tattoo all of these names you make for to child on your body,, that would be 8 children's names- that you never really had. no offence but the foetus wouldn't have actually been any gender at that time..



I think maybe you should just grow up a little and know that no ink on your body changes anything, I really hate to see people writing peoples names on them - out of memory or their child's names,, To me you show those people how much you care/love them while they are alive and look after them etc, you do not need a tattoo to prove to yourself or others how much that person meant/means to you, you should already know how you feel about it,

people will ask you '' whats that tattoo about?'' thinking its a baby that was born and died 2 month later,, then imagine you saying '' Oh i miscarried at 9 weeks and called it Oscar''

no offence but did Oscar have to be buried registered alive and the death? no he didn't so stop being so silly.. yeah its bad you miscarried I know it isn't nice as i have had one myself, but having a tattoo wont make that feel any better and people will ask and ask as you get older and you would feel more and more stupid to make a small matter into a big one, you will become embarrassed to tell people its a miscarriage baby!!
