whats a good place for a small letter tattoo?

i want to get the letter j tattooed but i dont want it big i want it small but i dont know where it would look nice

I would definitely go ask your tattoo artist about this. Keep in mind that if you get the writing done at a small font there is a high chance that over time the words will start to blur together. I have 28 characters, 7 words, done on my hip (horizontally not vertically) and my artist was very strict about how small she was willing to go. I'd estimate that my letters are about 0.4cm in width and 0.7cm in height. Rough guess though. A reputable artist won't want their work to look like crap after a few years so will be upfront and truthful with you. I can't mention anything about pricing, but most shops have a minimum price. Where I am in Canada the minimums are generally around 100-150 dollars, so around 80-100 GBP? Good luck with your tattoo!

on the back of your neck so its only visible if you have short hair or when you wear it up.

I have my bfs name in a heart on my left ribs but on the side. He's the only one who can see it unless i wear a bikini. Becareful about anything that you put above or below you bikini line on abdomen because many women get stretch marks there during pregnancy and the tattoo looks horrible.

Behind the ear is a nice mysterious place lol. Just don't get one on your lower back, tramp stamps make a girl unable to have epiderals when they are pregnant, because the needle (from the epideral not the tatoo) can draw ink into the spinal column.



*edit* Spex is right, i looked it up. Most doctors will still give you the procedure with a lower back tatoo, but apparently the ink causes a greater risk for infection and nerve damage, which is probably why my cousin's doctor wouldn't give her one.

This might hurt but behind the ear and a little down on your neck...it usually looks awesome if you have short hair and if your is long then people will see it when you put it up on ponytails or whatever so it will still look awesome

TK doesn't know what he's talking about. I had a lower back tattoo before I had my two kids and had epidurals for each one. I would recommend your wrist.
