I always do. Even though it is pricey to get a tattoo, I feel it's important to tip your artist. But I suppose it's the same anywhere; if you're not happy with the work, don't tip as much. I tip generously, because I keep going back to the same place and they treat me very well and do excellent work. So it's your call, but it's usually expected to tip.

Tip for certain. I consistently pay round seventy five-one hundred further dollars, however a minimal sitting for me most of the time is composed of a 450-500 greenback consultation. The base price entails the artists "hire" for the spot within the keep, presents, and so forth, so the price they provide you does not pass wholly to the man or woman doing the tattoo. Pay your artist in coins too, they respect it. A lot. For round 350, you might most commonly throw an additional 30-50 dollars to them, permit your intestine do one of the most speakme for your head too. I'm extra apt to tip any individual a bigger quantity if they are pleasant, courteous, do a well activity, and so forth... Same conception as in a restaurant.

When I got my tattoos I tipped the artist. Nothing to hefty $15-20. Depends on how happy you are with their work. But generally, tipping is a healthy etiquette to follow when it comes to tattoo artists.

I think it depends where you are from (i'm Australian so its not common) if your American then i think your supposed to. Personally if it was a lot of work and you keep going back to the same artist cause you like what they do then i would throw him some extra money.

Depens where you are in the, i had to tell my american artist that tipping is generaly not done in the uk. All tips from clients in my studio go to a local drug rehab charity, to enhance the lifes of those who once made mistakes in life.
